Anyone who has ever had a best friend will understand the difficulty of writing a short explanation of how Dianna is an inspiration. With the condensation of meaning usually reserved for poetry, I will say that she is a good friend.
A short story is in order also: one day, on the road to town, I encountered a very severe mechanical problem with my truck. Dianna came to help me make a quick repair; we attached a tow line to her truck and hauled it back to my house, thinking little of the magnitude of what we were doing. When I related the story to a friend later; laughing, he responded, “See, that’s the thing about Texas women. When they get into trouble, they don’t call a man for help… they call another woman!”
